simplify the voting system
I’ve always been a fan of the current voting system under which votes 6-10 are positive, i.e. they add to the page score. The only grade I have not used during the last year is probably 2. However, watching how others vote I’ve come to think the grading scale should be simplified. I suggest modifying the current system by changing all votes 1-2 to 1, 3-5 to 2, 6-7 to 3, and 8-10 to 4.
The new guide to the meaning of the vote values (roughly):
1 does not fit in SP, should be deleted
2 full of errors or lacking key chapters
3 little info or few illustrative photos
4 very good to excellent
1-4 because most voters only use the highest grade for fair to excellent pages. But I think 1-5 is worth considering too. Another important thing is a clear, brief description of each grade. Here is my second attempt:
2 poor (frequent errors/hardly any info or photos),
3 fair (OK but more info/photos would do),
5 very good to excellent (informative text illustrated with good photos).

Why have it 1-4? People are used to seeing a 1-5 rating scale. I too would love to see votes simplified to a 1-5 scale considering that a 1-10 system requires more thought to anyone who takes it seriously.
