Allocate comment power points to the object they are posted to rather than the poster.

If comments are going to have power points allocated to them, they should increase the aggregate score of whatever object they are posted to rather than contribute to the power points of the person who made the comment. This rewards contributions rather than social behavior. If a page or an image is really worth commenting on, then it deserves a little extra credit.

Granted, this would credit bad pages too, but the odds are that the bad votes on a page will sink it before the small fraction of power points does anything to help it.

        Perhaps a reward for the page owner receiving comments, but it should be a small amount. I've seen conversations take place on a photo which go back and forth.

        Why not reward both? The person who submitted the comment should be rewarded for spending their time writing the comment (as it is now).

        But I agree with the sentiment that the page owner should be awarded points as well. Good idea!
