  Just to be clear, it wasn't my idea. I just posted it here because I had written it down when someone else suggested it.

  But I do think it could be a nice addition to the site, if done correctly.

  Sorry I have been so succint. Not sure everyone wants SP to turn into a social network.
  However your idea might be good, for example to introduce :
  - people who describe an ambitious project
  - people doing an unusual activity in mountains (visiting unknown regions, using an uncommon way of travelling)
  - people hiking with a disease or physical handicap, people guiding disabled people to mountains, etc
  But I'm afraid there is too little of such members to introduce one each week. Furthermore, users would need to post a resume.

  I understand visentin. Frought with favoritism I think. Better to feature some photos and pages submitted by the member. In not sure I'd particularly want my own profile up there in place of those items either.
